Hmmm.....Is it Goldstar on the inside?

Jon A. 01-29-2015 08:58 PM

No need to cover the name on that if it were used in a movie.

Marco-nix 01-30-2015 06:18 AM

Technovox, Montréal,Québec !.. never seen this brand name in my province...first time i see this name..

zeno 01-30-2015 07:46 AM

Gold Star built it. The name is meant to sound like Magnavox.
I think its a Canadian label only.

The part number on the label looks like Goldstar to me.
IIRC, the name was mentioned on this forum before. :scratch2:

I thought of "Tektronix" when I saw that name. Tektronix makes television test and measurement equipment since the dawn of NTSC.

Well it's either GOLDSTAR or SAMSUNG, which I doubt the latter.

I still think Magnasonic gets the award for most ripoff name. Technovox gets second place!

That was the name of my first color set. I didn't get the remote and not one universal manual listed the name. A RCA code worked though.

Celt 01-31-2015 10:55 AM

Or....Techwood...a ripoff hybrid of the names Technics and Kenwood.

Also another name for particle board when used for modern computer desks.
