The people doing this would make better furniture than the cabinets do.

Combine it with this and you have a whole TV again!

Yea it looks like he just took the TV out..... Someone could simply put another in :)

Now if that guy had just got the better cable package with more channels
that tv would still be in one piece..........

I didn't know those still existed. One can always get more channels, but better programming?

I saw an empty Zenith cabinet at a thrift and the chassis location label was still intact. Sure enough, 25EC58. :sigh:

Wow.This reminds me of people gutting out and defacing classic antique radios.

I can see somebody putting a flat screen TV in the cabinet.

Alot of those console end up as bars, cabinets TV,VCR stands and bookcases over the years.

I know .About 25 years ago I had friends call me over to take the chassis and the pix tube out of the cabinet.

Jon A. 03-19-2015 10:24 PM

I had never seen a cabinet like that. If only one of us were to get it, restoring it with the guts of an ugly, beat-up example (lots of yellowed Avantes around) would be fairly easy. The hardest part would be finding a replacement for the missing back panel...

I have a 25DC56 chassis, CRT, yoke, etc.
