Progressive Insurance Commercial

I can't help it, but every time I see this commercial I have to stop and watch it.. That background music takes me to a time when I use to watch films in elementary school on a 16mm film projector.. Those educational films were very musical like this, or even soap operas from the 70s... A time when people put thought into things, and the music would play with your emotions along with the scene... Too bad it's gotta be used for an insurance gimmick..

Like SO many other ads, Flo was kinda neat & cool, but "Sublety" is an unknown term w/Mad Men, & I kinda wince every time I see her now. WHY do you jerks have to run ANYTHING/EVERYTHING you make that's even HALFWAY clever into the ground ?!?

Just go with the Flo...

The audio felt unnaturally clear.

But the wow and flutter was clear...

From Flo or the music? Sorry, I don't have speakers hooked up.

I posted about this commercial back in January.

Have noted since then the switching line is in the wrong place. In the olden days you had a 4:3 TV with a letterboxed video, the switching line would be at the bottom of the lower black bar. Not in the video portion. Oh well they got the effect pretty close!

I always understood it as "Sprinkles are for winners."
