8BP4 CRT testing

Can I plug this CRT into a 7" set to test?

My CR70 has no settings listed for this CRT. I tested as a 7JP4 and it did test very strong.

Were there any circuit modifications to the 8" sets? (vs the 7" sets)

Thank you.

Thank you.

The 8BP4 8 inch electrostatic tube is electrically identical to the 7JP4. You can plug it into any working set that uses the 7JP4 for testing. My Motorola 9VT1 uses the 8 inch tube and the same TS-18 chassis is used in the 7 inch model without circuit modifications.

Thank You. I appreciate your help.

Your 9VT1 looks great with that grill cloth BTW.

Thanks. That cloth is actually an upholstery fabric as it was all I had a available but it worked out well. That set is in regular service and performs very well on a CRT that was installed in 1954.
