Hard to get a decent picture of a TV and its screen, did some photoshopping to make it look more as it did in person.

How about a triple play? My rotten camera makes every screen blue, but you get the general idea.

Game currently tied in the 10th inning -- time to quit messing with the computer!

You SURE have some nice goodies there !! A round RCA color, a side chassis Philco and looks like a Dumont in the middle. And a "Tv lamp I beleive and a couple of NICE pieces of tube HI-Fi gear !! NEVER CAN have too much Tube HI-FI gear !!

I seen and worked on so many of those old Admirals. The last one was probably 50 years ago. Back then, they were easier to get going, as they were a lot newer.
I also had one of those Dewald AM FM radios. It sure wasn't a Zenith!

Imagine what people thought back in '48, '49, watching the Series on a TV for the 1st time...

Heard what is likely just an urban legend about a world series or pennants being broadcast in CBS's sequential color system, back around 1950 or so. And that a rich baseball fan had a TV engineer or serviceman modify a B&W set to show, in B&W, the video of the game. So he could watch. Seems unlikely that a TV station would broadcast in a mode that almost nobody could view... :scratch2:

Back in the early 50's, they probably had one TV camera, or maybe two cameras at most. Probably one of those cameras were located beyond the outfield, behind the shortstop, so you could see the pitches and the batter and the strike zone.

Did my very first sweep alignment on an Admiral identical the that one, except in the table model cabinet. Old 24 megacycle IF. :cool:

CBS field sequential was not outside the usable adjustment range of some black and white sets....Might not have even needed a service man.
