World Series on my Admiral 24R12

Hard to get a decent picture of a TV and its screen, did some photoshopping to make it look more as it did in person.

How about a triple play? My rotten camera makes every screen blue, but you get the general idea.
Game currently tied in the 10th inning -- time to quit messing with the computer! Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html http://antiqueradio.org/art/temp/WorldSeries2015.jpg |

Yes, the middle one's a Dumont RA-113. You can read about more TVs here:
http://antiqueradio.org/televisions.htm In penance for posting such bad screen shots earlier, here's a phone-cam snap with a little more color (from the CTC-11 in my office). http://antiqueradio.org/art/temp/WorldSeries2015a.jpg Phil Nelson |

I also had one of those Dewald AM FM radios. It sure wasn't a Zenith! FM wasn't worth a d*mn. :thumbsdn: |
Imagine what people thought back in '48, '49, watching the Series on a TV for the 1st time...

Back in the early 50's, they probably had one TV camera, or maybe two cameras at most. Probably one of those cameras were located beyond the outfield, behind the shortstop, so you could see the pitches and the batter and the strike zone. |
Did my very first sweep alignment on an Admiral identical the that one, except in the table model cabinet. Old 24 megacycle IF.
