This set is among others in my future BIL's mother's house. The others are relatively recent recycle fodder...but I told him I'd try to find more on this RCA.

Looks like either a CTC16X or a CTC20.
That is the shaggiest, shag carpeting I ever seen. :D

electronjohn 05-31-2016 10:25 AM

Yeah...looks like it would come up to your ankles:)

Electronic M 05-31-2016 12:07 PM

The kinda shag carpet that you mow a couple a times a year since it keeps growing back. :D

reeferman 05-31-2016 05:50 PM

Think of all the spare change that could be hidden there!

TUD1 05-31-2016 05:58 PM

Seems you'd need the appropriate 70's Kirby to clean carpet like that. The attachement on the front is called the Shag King. I have this machine in my collection restored.

Any further speculation as to the model? It's eventually going to end up in the classifieds here on VK.

SwizzyMan 06-03-2016 08:59 AM

That's a CTC-16x

electronjohn 06-03-2016 10:06 AM

Thanks, Swizz!

Depending on price, CRT condition, and where in Mn your located I'd potentially be a buyer for that.

SwizzyMan 06-03-2016 12:20 PM

I wonder if the CRT having a cataract might affect the price? Considering it is a pain in the butt to remove a cataract. :scratch2:

I had one in High School, it was a model GG643, and its a CTC16X as TUD says.
When set up, these produce excellent pictures.
