Missing and presumed gone
 
My Zenith Transoceanic 7000 no longer receives shortwave. Al other bands operate normally. Any ideas why?

Have you sprayed contact cleaner into the band switch anytime in the last 3 years?..If not that is a good first thing to try.

It depends what kind of transistors it uses.
I don't remember if that model uses gi or si transistors. :scratch2:

It uses silicon transistors,

Which 7000 is it? The Royal 7000 has a metal chassis, and the R-7000 uses PC boards. It is a very different radio.
