Identify the Television
 

I was watching a 1966 episode of "The Fugitive" this evening a spotted this early black and white set. It looks like a 10" display pre double-D mask which dates it to around 1948-49.

Anyone know what it is?

Perhaps Farnsworth?

I think a Farnsworth is it! You can vaguely make out the large channel selector knob on the left.

Curious prop to use in 1966. I guess it was to emphasize the slum environment at the time.

Yes. Either a 10" Farnsworth or Capehart. Both were exactly the same. It definitely is an odd one for a prop. A fairly rare set to find today. It just goes to show what was lying around in LA junk stores back then!

Yes, a 651-P is a rare bird these days. It’s the tabletop version of my 661-P console:

These have an interesting design with some unusual elements, like the air variable tuner with mechanical detents.
