Paid 900 dollars for a working Predicta pedestal. Do you guys think he paid too much?

Yes. Those things are bombs until a competent tech goes through them. If it's properly restored then it was a good buy.

The Danish modern console and the tandem models can fetch better than that. The other models not so much.

This beat up one sold for $750, which I think is high for the condition. (link below)
$950 for a restored one might be okay, if you want it to use, but it'll be hard to flip and make a profit. He's a TV star so he can probably get more for it than the average person. (and of course driving the prices up for all of us) https://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-1959-P...p2047675.l2557 |
I haven't followed Predicta values very closely lately, but I would say that's high retail on it. I assume it's been elec. restored and in good, complete condition. You're not going to pay a whole lot less for one. Elec. restorations on those are a $350+ value alone.

I have three of the same and I'll sell them for a little less. :D Early 4o's Philco radios are boring, at best! :sigh: |
