New mirror in mirror-in-lid TV?
I've decided my Marconi 702 needs a new mirror. It appears to
be 14x22 inches, at least very close. It would be best to get a front surface one. I had trouble finding somebody to sell me one. I finally did, in acrylic, for $192. Has anybody else found one cheaper, acrylic or glass? I've been unable to find a second surface one that is either thin enough (<1/16 inch) or antireflection coated. Has anybody found one? |
Total crapshoot, but look for mid-90s to early 2000s projection sets. I found a fairly large front surface mirror suitable for use in my UST projection set for far less than I would have spent buying from the limited commercial options.

to cut the glass. You only have to break the front plastic and you can screw off the mirror. They are always made of real glass. Regards, TV-Collector:stupid: |
Thanks! But no thanks ... such sets are impossible to find around here
due to state regulations. <insert usual forbidden political statement> |
