Playing Videos from Android Phone or Fire Tablet through Flatscreen

My TV has one HDMI port that I am not using. I am interested in playing videos from my phone, tablet, or even my laptop through my TV. Thanks in advance.

Google chromecast is probably your answer. My roommate had one and it was pretty seamless to use, just check online to see if your devices are compatible.

Most recent laptops have HDMI output, or display port/DVI (sometimes via thunderbolt adapter) HDMI was built around the DVI electrical interface so you can get cheap DVI to HDMI and Display Port to HDMI cables.

Some tablets and smartphones support USB-C to HDMI/display port adapters. You'll have to look up your model device and see if you can find an adapter for it.
