Does anybody know how to change the splash screen on these. I remember there was a way to change it on a PC. Might be cool to have color bars pop up there.

I think I found the answer. At least for LG products. Its in the commercial setup. Go here:

You can't, that's burned into the software. If it's a non-smart TV you can remove the eeprom and change the code if you know how (I don't). If it's a smart, the memory is a ball grid which makes removing it and reprogramming it impossible.

I suspect the factory may have a fixture that allows complete programming of the memory through the USB, but no such devices exist outside of the factories that I'm aware of.

You need a remote that has a Settings button it, which I assume is a hotel remote.
