Mario Bel-Aire Custom TV Set

Anyone have any information on this unusual set?

Wow... that's almost, but not quite as unusual as the Kuba Komet! :scratch2:

By the serial number, I'll guess at least seven were built.

It looks like something Natalie Kalmus would have turned out, but I'll guess a small, short lived maker of custom sets.

Does the chassis bear any resemblance to the 721?

The chassis looks to be intercarrier, from the tube lineup...

I found a Lamp by the same company.

The 3 knobs on the chassis and lack of a damper tube in the tube lineup makes me think it might use that infamous Muntz/Belmont chassis that had no damper, H afc or H Osc tube and instead was just a self oscillating output tube and HV rect.
Edit the tube layout looks similar to the Muntz. https://earlytelevision.org/muntz_m21.html

Odds are they bought that cheap chassis to put in their cool custom cabinet.

I can't read it but it looks like the Manufacturer's initials are listed on the label. Mfgd: x x x Co.

It has a 6W4 damper and 5U4 rectifier. Looks like a 6SN7 synchoguide horizontal oscillator.

Bit better than a Muntz.

Looks to me like it says CEE Co. Don't know who that would be.

Didn't everyone use the 6SN7/synchroguide setup? It seems like RCA did for a long while, their horizontal osc circuit didn't seem to change much..
