Zenith 6D414 mentioned on ARF.
 

I'm not a member of ARF, but I follow a few of their threads.
I had a chance to get one, but I forgot to take it! That was the one with the bakelite chassis that supposedly been a embarrassment to the company!
One thing that was strange is that had an original 12SA7G. I didn't think one existed!
It turned out to be Zenith's version of the Vega. :D
BTW, I have a mid '50's Westinghouse bakelite chassis clock radio, but it isn't too bad to work on.:scratch2:

I’ve seen glass 6H6s. There’s probably a large glass version out there in the world.

My one RCA shows the 6E5 as an ST envelope tube. I don’t think such a beast ever existed. Though it looked clearanced for it.

There's glass 6H6GT's and also a 6H6G, a larger shouldered bulb. I always referred to them as "bulby type.
The Zenith backlite set, I saw had a 12SA7G instead of a 12A8G. It must've been a later production.
It could be possible that ZRC was planning a war materials design, as war was definately on the horizon. :scratch2:
