Anyone collect old refrigerators?

I need to buy a house before I get vintage kitchen and laundry appliances bigger than a breadbox...

When I was younger I liked old refrigerators. It's a pitty that I dind't got one. During "Marea Debarasare" ("The big/great rid off") a lot of electronics and household appliances ened up at scrap. I have such a collecting center in the neiberghood and seen a lot of stuff there... managed just to save a few electronics. I never looked if some one was dumb enogh to throw away a prewar one... didn't had in 2007-2008 the ideea for looking for one.
A guy that I know have 2 x "Z.I.L." (soviet made) refrigerators from the '60's. Both where white, but one got painted red. :D
I'm looking for a '60's-'70's washing machine. Fully automatic. Probably I could found one (if I had the money) back then, but I dind't knew that new washing machines will be crap, so I didn't looked.

I cannot tell from the picture if that is a "monitor-top" refrigerator (with the big coil assembly on top), but I would like to have one just for fun. It would be a challenge to ship such a machine to California, though, I am sure.

When I was a child in Chicago, our mother brought out her old dollhouse furniture from her childhood in the 1930s. One item was a monitor-top refrigerator, with the coil loose from the main cabinet. She also had a six-legged console radio.

The topic-list summary for this section on my computer's screen had the title shown as "Anyone collect old...". My first thought was "Yes, I collect "old..." indeed". 😁

A good friend lives about 40 miles North of Milwaukee. He would probably give it away to someone who appreciates it. Anyone interested would have to hire a shipping company and pick it up or pick up personally. Probably weighs less than a television console. I have additional photos if anyone is interested.
