where to get caps?
 
I'm one of the philco noobs anyway I tried getting some caps from a local electronics shop they seem to be either incompatent or uninterested in getting them for me :( I ordered them and never got a call then I went there (weeks later)and they had 1 you know what they did right they said we will call you hmmm rat shack? internet? raid my vcr's?

I get mine from Dave at www.JustRadios.com
They are out of Ontario but always have what I need and are pretty quick. Don't know how the prices are compared to others but then again, I don't buy many so it doesn't matter to me. Bob

Ditto!

The prices are excellent. Even better, they sell packs of the most common sizes and voltage ratings for vintage tube gear. RS is a waste of time for capacitors for tube gear.

Also, JustRadios has a great library of information on replacing old capacitors.

Highly recommended!
