NOS Dumont Flyback
1 Attachment(s)
Below is a pic of a brand spanking new 50(?) year old Dumont Flyback....or at least that's what I believe it to be. Can anyone ID this? Does anyone need it? Was thinking of putting it on fleaBay but would like to give you fellers first crack at it. Have no idear what it's worth, either next to nothin or more than the national debt. Would settle for something somewhere in between :D

I don't think it's a flyback. The Dumont's I've seen used a normal RCA clone type flyback.
The color coding on the 4 bottom wires looks typical of a vertical output transformer but I don't know what the two on top would be? |
That is a horizontal output transformer for a DuMont RA-101 or RA-102. These sets have a separate HV power supply, so it isn't really a flyback.
I am in need of one of these for restoration of our RA-101 custom: http://www.earlytelevision.org/dumont_ra101.html Please contact me at [email protected]. I'll try to email you too. Thanks. |

So Steve, didja get that installed yet? If so, how'd it work out? |
