Marconi Radio Problems
 

I need help with this one. It's a Morconiphone Model 710 5 band table radio, ca. about 1948, although technology is more like 1938. It's nothing more than an all-band "All American Five". with the UK version of Loctal tubes.

The problem is, what was the IF center frequency supposed to be? It doesn't even come close to tracking with either 455KHz or 470KHz. It seems to want something even higher in frequency in order to track.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
