RCA GH712WK Console?
Not sure if this is a roundie, but someone local to me has one of these available for free.....it's a 4' long console and supposedly still works. Anyone have a pic or info they can share? Thanks

Sams sez: 879-3, a CTC-25, 4/67. Glancing at my copy, it looks a lot like the typical 60s RCA chassis. Uses a 25AP22A crt.

Thanks Bryan....I keep playing phone tag with the person offering this and just haven't gotten a chance to see it yet, hence my question. Isn't that tube rectangular?

Should be rectangular. My CTC-38 has a 25BCP22A, a rectangular tube. IIRC, they didn't make round color tubes any bigger than 21". I could be wrong though.

It IS a rectangular tube. Good chassis in that set, altho I do not care for the tuner set up in those. It's the set-up where you push in the channel selcector knob to fine tune. I think that's the only chassis where they used that design.

Definitely right about 21" round tubes being the only round size after the initial smaller-screen sets.

Ah yes, what you all say about the 21" roundies being the largest of their kind clicks with my failing memory circuits. Am not sure if I want to pursue this set as in general I prefer roundies in general and Zeniths in particular (especially the 70's "Disco" Zeniths)
