Found old radio
 

I was walking to the gas station to my suprise I see a 1930-50s looking record player sitting on the curb I say if that things tube its mine I look and it is tube but now comes the tricky part, It says on the back "Westinghouse stereophonic high fidelity with AM-FM Radio" its a model H-M 1410 Walnut stain contemporary styled unit 2x12" 4x6" all tube record player with one 12ax7 pre amp tube, two 7591 (Power tubes?) and a 5U4GB tube (dunno nother power tube?) in the tuner it has four 6BA6, one 6AL5, one 6eu7, one 6BE6, one 12AT7. Its 155 watts 105-120 volts it works and sounds PRETTY good a little staticy but its OLD so any ideas about where I can find information on it? I think it will need a new needle for the record player but I think I got a pretty good deal :P
I found out that its from around 1958-60s I think its very cool

I found it listed in the Sams Photofact index - #567-16, from 1962. I'll check my collection, but I doubt I have it - they're mostly earlier.

I bet this one has potential. The schematic is in Beitmans 22 (1962) pages 144-145. Stereo SE 7591. Westinghouse was a good brand.

wow thanks for the quick reply Im just trying to find out stuff about it I think it would be something if cleaned up that I could keep for a few more years, Im a little young for the whole antique radio thing but its just Ive always wanted an old tube radio and I find one on the side of the road kinda cool. sorry I cant post pics at the moment untill I go to my girlfriends house but when I go Im taking a camera

Once I found a Westinghouse stereo in a little antique store. They wanted too much & wouldn't negotiate. At some point later I found the same set sitting in the junk pile at the local auction barn. It had been beat up quite a bit by the auction handlers, ruining the cabinet. I hauled it home for free. Wasn't too bad; it was one of those where you could listen to am on one channel and fm on the other. If it wasn't so beat up I might have kept it. They do take up some space, though.

I've got a large Westinghouse AM-FM table set IIRC model H-106 from about 1950 or so that uses a single 6L6 for the output tube. Sounds pretty fair, I need to recap it though.

I was told on another forum to re cap mine also for safe measure...is this suggested here too?

Any and all wax paper caps should be replaced. It may sound better once that is done.
