Interesting GE remote set

When I was growing up, my best friend's grandmother had a set identical to that. Note the H U G E oval speaker mounted on the baffle below the picture tube. I always thought it odd that the early sets had great audio and as the picture quality steadily improved, the audio quality on them went down.

The picture tube looks rather fried.
It will be interesting to see if some wealthy TV collector buys it. At $200. plus repairs and shipping I think it is a bit high in price. Especially considering that the seller got it for free and has a brother who makes films, giving me the impression they have money to burn yet want top dollar for something many consider to be trash. From what I've gathered, most of us collectors seem to have a tight budget.
