ETF Swap Meet
 

The Swap Meet at Steve's Early Television Foundation Museum was a great experience! It was a pleasure to meet fellow collectors and restorers. As some of you may know, Jan is awaiting a kidney transplant and not always feeling well, but she insisted on "pushing" herself to attend despite my suggestion that she stay at home and rest. Hopefully, she'll have her transplant by next year. She also enjoyed meeting everyone and said that it was well worth the trip. We're hoping to have a higher budget for next year's Swap Meet. Ultimately, we hope to be able to bring a van, several thousand dollars and several nice restored sets for the auction and flea market next year. I also hope to have more time to work on a PowerPoint presentation on evaluating and re-forming electrolytics with a time-lapse video shot by my teenage son. I'll be adding to my site's hobbyist page and creating a page about our experience at the Swap Meet as time permits after we've gotten the pictures developed.

I was also there and got to meet John. I scored a 14" RCA portable and 16" Andrea round BW. I am also hoping to bring lots of cash to the next swapmeet. Once I can get back to Warren, Ohio and get my TV equipment (and a few other sets), I will doccument my restorations and submit them to Steve McVoy for the ETF website (and here too). Best to all.
