TV repair stories from on old Triad catalog
"TV tips from Triad"
These are just sort of thinly disguised transformer advertisements, but I enjoyed reading them anyway, mainly for the old fashioned style they were written in. |
i enjoyed reading those articles. no one seems willing to help anyone these days .a manufacture sells the set and they are done with you.

I had forgotten about these tip stories. I bought alot of Triad stuff in my time.

Thanks for posting those! I ran into the problem in the second one not too long ago. I swapped a used crt from one set to another. The brass wrapped around the neck had me scratching my head but I put it back the way it was with the exception of plastering it down with packing tape. When I put it all together the width was all screwed up. The schematic showed a width control on the crt neck-but where? I finally figured out it was that brass sleeve. And here I had securely taped it in place! Luckily I was able to move it around enough and it worked.
