NIB picture tubes. Help!
Hi gang,
This Monday I'm renting a minivan and making a trip up north to pick up the Zenith Flashmatic I won on eBay. I talked to the woman tonight and she mentioned having a bunch of new Zenith Color CRT's in boxes that she needs to get rid of. She seemed to think they were mostly 19" but she's going to send me a list. If they are worth saving I'll try and buy them but I need to know what numbers to look for (other than the 21" roundies of course) Eric |
Eric, I could use a 19" for the RCA metal table model, and the wood 19" consolette... Both are OK tubes, but both have slight cataracts (later on bad ones, likely)... So I'd be interested in one or two of the 19" (not 19V), and I could also use a spare 25V delta gun as well.

Could use a 25AXP22 or similar for a CTC25
Thanks Fred |
Not sure of the exact number as the set is in the attic, but I am looking for a 19V for a 1973 Zenith hybrid table set.
|
I'd like a new tube for a 25" system 3 Zenith. Don't have the number in front of me.
|
how about a 15GP22..?..
oops..! did I open the can of worms again? |

Thanks Charles! I knew someone would remember the number.

OK guys, I'll do my best.
I'm renting a Chevy Trailblazer or Minivan on Monday and heading up North, my old Toyota P.U. with 325,000 miles on it is just too uncomfortable and scary to take. This has been a real stress fest trying to figure out the logistics of this trip. If I ever buy another large TV that's 450 miles away someone slap me upside the head. :D |

Don't feel silly about buying a TV 400 miles away... We've all done that despite the ridicule from some of our non-TV collector friends. I went to Portland, OR to trade a 621 for a CT-100 once, and Gary Miller actually bought a new Ford truck specifically to make a 6000 mile round trip to Dave Johnson's to buy a TRK-12! Charles |
Charles, I'm pretty sure my truck would make the trip, it's more my aching back I'm thinking of. :D The Toys busted down seat is NOT comfortable.

i made a 1000 mile round trip to north carolina to pick up 2 rca sets a ctc10 and a ctc9. of course i went by the builtmore estate. very worth your time and spent a night in gatlinburg. fun trip. and came home with to nice sets. steve

OK, here's the list she sent me, would those 19" tubes be of any use?
She also said there were more small ones but no numbers yet. > c19vmjp22 ---8 avail > ca48abboox ---1 avail > ca48abs52x ---1 avail > a48abt51x--4 avail > 19vjcp22--1 avail > c19vmjp22--1avail > ca48abb00x--2 avail |
i went to lincolonton nc. i believe thats how you spell it. the sets were right on the town square in an upstairs garage. the fellows father in law used to repair sets. he told them to hold on to these two sets. one of them the ctc10 has been used very little if at all. still has all original electrolytics and i only replaced 2 tubes a broken horiz. output and a 6ea8. still worked great last time i used it. it has the 21cyp22 in it. steve :thmbsp:
