WANTED: Dial Glass for 1948 Andrea TV-K12 TV
I bought a pristine Andrea TV-K12 on Ebay only to have the shipper pack, crate and ship the set on it's face causing the dial glass to shatter.
Does ANYONE know where I can get a repalcement dial glass? http://images.google.com/images?q=AN...=Search+Images Thanks very much in advance! Murray Kerdman |
Damn ! That's gonna be a FUN one to get, Murray....Maybe the ETF would make you a copy of theirs.... Good Luck !

Welcome to the line up. If you find someone, please let usknow. I have that set also. Smashed dial glass. Sad. Nice set. Seems to be a common problem......Bill Cahill

I'm going to make a high resolution scan of the good dial in our set. I've replaced broken glass in other sets by doing the following:
1) Use Photoshop to clean up the scan 2) Print it on matte photo paper 3) Take it to Kinkos and have it copied onto thin plastic stock 4) Have a piece of glass of the proper size cut at a glass shop 6) Attach the plastic stock to the back of the glass using tape at the edges where it can't be seen. The result was pretty good, and looked like the original unless you did a very close inspection. If you'd like a copy of the scan, let me know at [email protected] |

I had one of those a few years ago and gave it away figuring I'd never find a glass!
