Is the case on this set original? Nobody is bidding on this usually popular set.

It's supposed to be covered in fabric but it's been stripped down to the bare wood. From the looks of the wood I'd guess the fabric rotted off!

This is a portable set similar to the motorolas, the model of this Hallicrafters is 514 and it appears to be missing most of the leatherette....pretty rough set! This set usually has channels 2-13 making it more a 1949 model instead of the typical 1-13 on the earlier models. Dont see these too often but better to find a nicer set.

I was not going to buy the set. I Thought it was strange that nobody had bid. The cabinet was real suspect to me. Was thinking that somebody made a homebrew cabinet.

I got a free record player with the cloth covering. Mice had chewed most of the covering off. :nono:
