early 50s motorola in Coxs Creek, NY

20 bucks opening bid. Needs grill cloth, but doesn't look too terrible otherwise

I've re-threaded a few CRTs and its a PITA. If it wasn't so beat, $40 might be worth it, otherwise...no

must have played a mega bass note

jpdylon 12-19-2006 12:23 AM

I hate it when that happens. its usually due to some mother letting her kid loose and he pokes and tears with curiosity :gigglemad:

at least the opening bid is reasonable

OH!!!!! I FORGOT TO MENTION

i found some Motorola "TV Serving Trays" for $22 at an antique store... in box but price seemed a little steep. they were rectangular and had designs on them.

now if you could find a 50s tabletop with TV cart on wheels and some old school TV dinner boxes, make a display and you'd be set...

i want my RCA working first

jpdylon 12-19-2006 12:38 AM

I've been reading about this RCA, but I have yet to see it.

What kinda RCA is it, from when? Color or B&W? Pics please! :D

NEVER MIND!

Found it....yeah that's a keeper.

fujifrontier 12-19-2006 12:56 AM

damn right, the mailman came asking about it (it's still sitting on the porch). he was like "lol i notice you have this TV here and was wondering what you guys were going to do with it, sell it or something?" and i was like "im going to restore it." he looked kinda disappointed. and no, the TV isn't being rained on. the porch never gets wet, and this is a pretty hefty TV to cart off.

i just want the thing working so i can take it to my fabulous (soon) new apartment
