Help!!

I recently purchased a "Birmingham sound reproducers" "Travler"
Portable phonograph. I accidentally disconnected both speaker leads when I was Putting It back together. Darned if I have any idea where they were soldered on. Also the small speaker in it has what appears to be a small
transformer attached to the back of it? The large "cap" says 150 volts dc=
80 mfd 150 volts dc =20 mfd 25 vpolts dc=10 mfd? never saw acap like that. It's made by "ajax". This unit has one tube...the only markings are
"travler" 50L6 GT? can I put a new driver in it? the old one has a tear.
And of course my speaker wires. Is this what we now refer to as BSR?

Yes, BSR = Birmingham Sound Reproducers. The output transformer is mounted to the speaker and should have three wires going to the circuit and two short wires (usually lacquered wire) to the speaker lugs. At one time, this was common practice in guitar amps, radios, record players and televisions. Not familiar with the particular model you own, that's about all I can tell you.

Bsr

Actually this transformer only has two wires. they are both connected to the speaker but disconnected on the circuit board. I' going to guess that they probably terminate with the wires from the tonearm??

Um...no. If they were terminated there, there wouldn't be any amplification. Can you post any pics?
