CTC-5's at RCA exhibit
Great postcard picture of CTC-5 models on display At the RCA Exhibition Hall in N.Y.C. 1956-57

Thanks for the find, Steve. Very colorful shot. Simulated roundie images though. No way that bank of fluorescents would allow a 21AXP22 to display that black area on two of those 'operating' sets.
|
Yeah, comically obvious "simulation." :)

Hi,
I got it. Here is a larger scan of the postcard: http://bs.cyty.com/menschen/e-etzold...nHallsmall.jpg If somebody wants a high resolution scan (appr. 4 Megabytes) for poster reproducing or something else, please pm me. Eckhard |
Can anybody figure out what is on display to the right of the color TVs? One looks like a big toy bird in a display box.
|
What you're referring to (I think) looks like it's a Nipper tableau.
|
:scratch2: Yep - now it looks to me like a Victrola horn seen side on, hiding Nipper except for his front legs and head - I think
|
Okay, I can't help it.
With that flying staff symbolism peaking at the statue, it looks more like :music: Le Coq d'Or :tresbon: than Nipper.
