Stewart-Warner SW??? What is this?
I'm doing a little "attic cleaning" and I found this radio that I bought in a garage sale about 15 years ago. I think I paid 5 bucks for it. Is it anything that a radio collector would care about?
If it were a piece of 70's Marantz stereo gear I would know what I had, but this.....I'm a little lost. http://www.members.kconline.com/grr/sw011.jpg http://www.members.kconline.com/grr/sw001.jpg |
I would grab a radio like that in a heartbeat! Beautiful dial!
I found another one on the web identified as R-169A, which may be the chassis number, appears to be 1937. Schematic is here: http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByM...7/M0021217.pdf |
Oh, yeah, baby...that's PURTY !!

Stewert-Warner was a Chicago company located on Diversey Ave. I thought they only manufactured the tuning dials found in the radios. Learn something new every day. Very nice looking unit. :thmbsp:
