I spoke to a tech who specialized in repairing German sets and he had done one of these for a freind and was very impressed with the sound quality. I took a peak inside on lunch and the speakers look to be of very nice quality. One Woofer and two midrange on the sides. The woofer is not the largest I have seen in these radios but respectable enough to expect a good amount of bass. The specs online say it put out 6 watts when it was new and since it has the el84 output tube I expect it will in fact be a fine radio once overhauled.
