We have a very similar Stromberg-Carlson chassis only (don't have the cabinet) which we have repaired and it works very well...replacing all capacitors and any bad wiring and maybe some bad resistors should get it working. Tubes do not decay over time, just with use so they should be OK...all of the components you need can be easily obtained today....just make sure you familiarize yourself with the safety precautions for tube equipment as high voltages are used. The Stromberg-Carlsons tend to be somewhat more complex (and have better performance) than the cheaper radios but the one we did wasn't too difficult.
