I think Ernie's on the right track, i.e., try finding a replacement.
As for repairing broken 78s, lord how I have tried, unsuccessfully. A few years ago I found a copy of "Steel Mill Blues" 78 by Blind Blake, in two pieces; brother
I nearly went blind trying to glue that record back to whole. Nothing doing, and I
still have those two pieces.
