Then hhere is a paper filter cap on the chassis, the only paper cap on the unit, started to sizzle.. This cap is a 200v 130mfd can style cap. I cannot locate that rating. I did however find a 400v 100mfd electrolytic. Think it's safe to use that in it's place?

Measure the voltage on the cap that sizzles then go at least 20% higher.
In the vert. circuit keep the uf value as close as possible-working voltage the same or higher.
