I have a few questions about this set, that I hope some of you will give your advice on. My tubes should be in today or tomorrow, so will know more on how the picture looks and how the set "behaves". But anyway..... I noticed the plastic (or bakelite) base on the end of the picture tube is cracked. Do I need to worry? Also a previous tech had installed a 2AV2 when the schematic calls for a 1V2, the focus seems okay tho, and I will install a 1V2. Would any damage have been done, and why would the tech have done that? Was a 2AV2 an improvement, or was he careless? I'm pretty "retentive" on never using subs, I just wait till my tube orders come in and keep my fingers crossed! Also I'm not very familiar with Admiral sets. Why did they use 2 horizontal output tubes?
