Yep. I feel the same way about my truck. Put a new radiator and starter in it, and when I go to start it up I get a smile on my face, cos I know I put that starter in, and didn't pay a mechanic to do it for me.
Hopefully I'll feel the same once I get the money to replace the convergence IC's in that 61 inch TV I found.
