Been there, done that. Flyback checked shorted on flyback checker. I found one that barely checks in the green. I need a new flyback. Anyone got a new Fly 45 they can spare???
I simply replaced bad dampter winding with a new hv insulation 6.3 volt, 1.2 A transformer someone kindly gave me.
All B+ resistors check good. I may also need a new yoike for this set.
They used this set to death. Right into the ground.
Out of 21 tubes, I also had to replace 10 tubes, and picture tube...
I did get audio reception this week on 3' of wire. Channels 3,and,something on 12 came in.
