Actually he brought 2...I'd pretty much forgotten about them, having moved out from my parents house on bad terms the year I graduated High school ('76).
An old 6L6 mono amp that I used as a kid, and the Silvertone Model 1, that I had in my room, growing up. The TT that I used with the amp is long gone.
He recapped the #1 and it works well!
It is next to me on my desk as I type.

Tough to beat old friends,,My best friend since grammer school used to own a 1955 oldsmobile 98 convertable ,m I was able to find an original owners manual and gave it to him as a Christmas present
