With a 42" LCD TV, I don't need a PC adapter but, more than likely the DRM electronics will keep it "read only" so to speak. That might mean the output can only be routed to the PC's system display port, so you might have to jump through hoops tapping into the VGA/DVI/HDMI display stream, unless you happen to have one of those older two-head output Matrox video cards.
