Catalin radios were a lot cheaper in the 1970s/1980s also. However, I was antique raido shopping then also and did not see any Catalin radios in Texas antique stores or flea markets. I think most of these were sold in the northeast. Texan's were probably too conservative to buy these and bought the much more common wood/brown bakelite ones.
