Hello i had one of those and sold it years ago.They will sound very nice thru a 12 to 15 inch speaker.Make sure all tubes are good and all caps are good befor turning on.The acorn tubes are a bit hard to find tho.I had 2 of them used one to get the other going.Heavy well made..I got some FM stations as far away as 60 miles with it and it worked great on the air band too. The one i got going had been used by the FCC no less. The tone to me sounds good..Good luck with it.Sprman
