Danke Schoen for the tips, guys ! I HAVE FM DXed from here, &the band is almost "solid" from one end to another. My granmother had a Zenith K-731 & an antenna set up for it, she kept that radio set up on Black Mountain, NC, outside of Asheville for years-they played classical. Anyhow, I hooked up a cheapo TV/AM/FM unit to that antenna, & I was pulling stuff in from Atlanta-300 miles away. Might have been tropo, but this antenna was on a little hill, highest point in the neighbourhood, anything's possible. Now, I have the S-36, a couple of Nems-Clarke "Spook" receivers, plus the tuner on my Yammy RX-V1, & I don't have a decent antenna to feed any of 'em....Shame on me.
