Reminds me of that one Bugs Bunny / Yosimite Sam episode:

"I wonder if he's stubborn enough to open all those doors?"

BOOM!!

"Yep, he's stubborn enough!"

I don't think too many people would have been stubborn enough to finish that TV. you went past my stubbornness level months ago. I admire your tenacity and there's a lesson here for the world. I suspect success is closer than you think.

But - Not giving up is not the same as working way past when you should call it a day. Then you do things like miswire things, drop chassis, etc. Know when to say when, it will still be there tomorrow, nobody is going to take it away. Mike will make sure of that.

While I admire the work done on the 630 in the other post, and, admire the proffessional work done, I am one stubborn old -6-65-54-=54-=5 of a person, and, I'll fix this thing if it's the last thing I do!!!!!
Thank you.

Oh, Don.. Just going on back, and, forth on this thing. It's been a real thorn in my side.

This TV of Bill's is well on its way to becoming one of the most famous ones in American history.

I am real tempted to buy this piece of history from Bill when he gets it playing just like a new one. He's just a short drive over the long bridge from me.

Waiting on caps. May not be here until Friday, though...

DAILY PLANET YEAR- 2028
READ ALL ABOUT IT!!
Local beach resident digs up an unusual item while metal detecting today.
It appears to be an old TV chassis that was buried deeply in the sand for 20 years.
Cause of death hammer blows to the anode, multiple lascerations to internal parts and what appears to be traces of napalm burns on the upper body.
Finder says this is truly the doings of a frustrated person but he will try and restore it to original being..
