Thanks for the replies guys. maybe the controll was replaced years back... I just haven't had the time to open it up yet to see for sure.

Peverett: the knob I need looks like it's the "Maroon Horiz. Hold, Contrast, Volume" knob, part # 33C28-20

Here's a pic of the knob I'm looking for... for some reason these knobs seem to have deteriorated somehow underneith and so the opening that the shaft fits into seems disfigured and so the hole seems to not be the exact shape that it should be on any of the remaining knobs.
