This set was marketed by CBS Columbia starting in late '54. It sold for $1,100. I guess CBS had trouble selling them. This same model is still listed in their 1956 brochure. The ad also lists an open face console for $1000. and a table model for $950. I don't think these models were ever manufactured. The set is listed in SAMS folder 293-2 as model 205C1 & 205C2. I believe this indicates the mahogany and blonde finishes. Anyone have this SAMS to varify this?
