Hmmm, I'll have to see if I've got a pic handy somewhere.
It's a weird set - it has UHF on it, but it's from the early - mid 50's. It has a GE model 90 UHF tuner in it, there's a big sticker on the back saying so! The mixer diode is a socketed germanium, I think 1N80 or such.
I got it with a Bendix console. they both sat outside in a guy's driveway for a few years (!), the Bendix didn't work at all when I got it, or so I thought after a quick variac test - I went to yank the HV lead from the CRT and
So, yeah, I fixed that set up and it's nice now, but the CRT's shot on it. Very stable hold, great sound, and 4 IF stages (yep). I had a brightener on it and that helped, but not much. The tube needs a rebuild...
The GE was worse off - the neck was bashed on the tube, and a mouse lived under the chassis for a few years. I actually washed the chassis in the bathtub, and got it, well, cleaner, and de-moused. I figured then I might as well let it sit a while to dry - 2 years! Right now, it mostly powers up, there's HV, there's horizontal, and the audio circuits are working. I sometimes get vert sweep too, and I think the vid / iF stages are ready too, but I still don't have all the tubes in it. I wanna get the tunner going and see if it can at least get a signal and lock the sweep circuits, but of course all the caps need to be replaced still, so i don't expect much.
The cabinet is bakelite, with a cardboard back, and safety glass on the front. It needs a bit of cleanup, but isn't cracked and is quite presentable now. I *am* missing a few knobs off it, I'll have to dig out what I have and see what I need.
But hey, it was a freebie!
I've heard Sylvania liked these tubes a lot, anyone got a 21" Halolight they don't want? Does anyone have a Halolight they DO want?
I'll try to dig up a GE pic later on. For now, I've got a bunch of misc TV and other pics at :

Some of my TV sets are in there, along with an acient pic of my Harley, and a few other things...
