Oh yeah-The Russian Woodpecker- beloved by SWLs everywhere-BLATBLATBLATBLATBLAT...over-the-horizon radar.. And then there's the twice-told stories of OUR "Oh, Chits!"- we dropped a several megaton Nuclear device on South Carolina in 1958. Or the 1966 incident in Spain where they did the same thing & the bomb exploded but for some reason didn't go off. But it did make a melluva hess. The gummint spent megabux hauling all the radioactive dirt back to the US & burying it. Makes you feel all warm 'n' fuzzy, don't it ?!? I have a buddy who was an EOD in Vietnam-the guy who went around & took care of unexploded ordnance- and some of the stories HE'S told will make the little hairs on the back of yr neck stand up.-Sandy G.
