I'm scratching my head and trying to figure out what's "greedy" about asking $400 for something that you spent $500 to restore. Only wanting to lose $100?
I would think the guy is offering someone a very generous gift. It's a popular model as a collectible, a really nice piece of vintage furniture, and probably a great investment for the future. In museum-grade condition, to boot. It's priced very reasonably, for what it is.
