Heat would be the big issue, I think that a video projection lcd has different coatings than front view lcd's. There was a fellow here who made a nice projection system out of a monitor lcd using a lens and several cfl bulbs as a light source. the larger lcd had less lumens per sq in to deal with. which means less heat per sq in.
