Indeed, it really looks GORGEOUS. The seller said that it is most likely in working condition, but - thank God!!! - he also said that he didn't pluged it in for fear of damaging something, so... it was sold "as is."

It would be terrible if such a nice set were ruined by a careless seller, who would not be worried about plugging in a TV that most likely was not turned on in years or decades.

The seller is a trader of antiques. I will talke to him again by phone until the end of this week. When I talk to him again I will ask about the origins of this TV. I bet that such a huge and well cared for TV could only have belonged to a very rich family.
